D&RG 1888 Pullman (Friends of the Cumbres and Toltec)

In our south yard the Colorado Springs group of The Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railway are restoring a former D&RG 1888 Pullman Built Narrow gauge tourist sleeping car. Pullman built narrow gauge cars in Detroit for many years. Right now the car is under going a total rebuild, from here it will receive interior to match what it looked like years ago. It will also receive mechanical appliances like brake rigging and couplers to complete its rebuild, and then it will be used in routine service behind steam locomotives at the Cumbres and Toltec Railway located in Chama New Mexico.

The Friends work sessions typically meet every other Saturday.
